Anne Robinson is a pianist and pedagogue in the greater Seattle area. She received Steinway & Son's Top Teacher Award in recognition for her passion for excellence in music education, her students placing in national competitions and even performing in Carnegie Hall. She is currently on faculty at the Chopin Academy of Music and offers private tutoring to teachers all around the world. 

 

Ms. Robinson accepts students of all ages and teaches all levels - from young beginner to professional. Her approach to lessons is creative and engaging, establishing skills for healthy technique and musical understanding to develop confident and independent musicians. 


 

She received her Master of Music and Graduate Performance Diploma in Piano Performance from The Boston Conservatory, MA, where she studied under Max Levinson and Dr. Jonathan Bass. Anne completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia, MO, where she studied under Dr. Peter Miyamoto. Other teachers and master classes include: Dr. Christopher Taylor, Ayako Tsuruta, Dr. Gloria Chuang, as well as lessons with Robert Shanon, Melvin Chen, and Michael Lewin. 

Other notable awards:

  • Merit Scholarships from 2006 to 2011 and music history research assistant while attending the University of Missouri-Columbia, MO.
     

  • Scholarship student and music history teacher’s assistant at The Boston Conservatory, MA while studying for her M.M. and G.P.D. in Piano Performance from 2011-2015. 
     

  • Upon graduating in 2015 she was placed in the Honors Chamber Music Awards with her ensemble performing Prokofiev’s sextet Overture on Hebrew Themes.
     

  • Ms. Robinson won First Place twice in the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association state competition.
     

  • Audience's Favorite Award at the La Crosse Rising Stars Concerto Competition
     

  • Recipient of the distinguished Sigma Alpha Iota scholarship competition in St. Louis, MO.
